Center of Innovation

The mission of the Center of Innovation is to bridge the gap between the limited technology and information that is accessible to students, parents and educators, and the greater resources available to the technology world at large. The Center of Innovation will periodically assess needs of the education community, research available technology and customize it to serve our community’s needs. This will allow us to provide tools that enhance the learning process and further inspire tomorrow’s creative thinkers.

The Krause Center for Innovation (KCI) at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, California primarily serves as a regional professional development center for educators at all levels to innovate their educational practices through effective use of technology, with special emphasis on the subject areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The KCI's primary objective is to ensure that every K-14 teacher in Silicon Valley, Santa Clara and San Mateo counties can teach using technology and every student learns the skills to be a productive part of a technology-literate work force. To help accomplish these goals, the KCI is supported by Foothill College and funding from generous individuals, foundations, and corporations.
