• Funding for the purchase of recycled laptop computers for a high school special education classroom
• Partial funding for an elementary science-music program entitled "Shining Stars" in conjunction with the San Jose Childrens Musical Theater.
• Partial funding for a 5th grade community service program entitled "Lessons in Humanity"
• Partial funding for a 1st grade field trip to the Oakland Zoo.
• Partial funding for two 5th grade science classes to Yosemite through the Yosemite Institute.
• Funding for the creation of a 7-8th grade "Literary Lions" club.
• Funding for the purchase of a computerized sheet music program to promote sight reading of scores for a middle school music program.
• Funding of scholarships for scholarships to a 5th grade science camp program.
